Highlights include award-winning eateries and the best pizzas, pastas and burgers in town. You'll also find an inviting wine outlet showcasing a carefully curated selection of local wines, craft beers and gin.

History

Prior to its redevelopment into today's dynamic and creative hub, the Old Biscuit Mill functioned as an actual biscuit mill for the Pyott's biscuit company. John Pyott opened the factory in the early 1900s and it remained in operation until 1946.

Map of the Mill

We once held a competition with the Cape Town Creative Academy situated in the Silo at the Old Biscuit Mill to draw up a map representing TOBM space. We were in awe of the creative responses and congrats to Laura Flint on her representation.

Parking

Parket is now available at The Old Biscuit Mill

  • Hourly & Daily parking
  • 24/7 Security
  • 100% Cashless

During the week (Mondays to Fridays) you can find parking within the Old Biscuit Mill.

However, on Saturdays, because the Neighbourgoods Market takes over the parking areas, no parking is available within the Mill itself. We therefore recommend those visiting the Mill use services like Uber, Bolt or the MyCiTi Bus (route 261 stops just outside the Mill) to avoid congestion and parking hassles.

Every Saturday there is secure parking available for R20 all day at the College of Cape Town, directly opposite the Mill. Entrance to this parking lot is on Kent Street. The College parking is also available on all special event and festival days.
