Michelle started out small in 2002, seeing a gap in the market for woven lighting that had more of a quirky edge than most other products available. Since then, she has worked away quietly with her team of weavers, producing beautiful, well made, natural lighting that also has the dramatic effect needed for modern interiors.
In 2010 she opened her store at The Old Biscuit Mill and expanded her range of offerings, as well as including a plethora of local and southern African craft, design, illustration, and art.
Abode has featured in many local and international design magazines.
